The world of color grading has opened up more and more in these recent years. The art of color grading used to be closed doors and only a certain lucky or determined or well connected person was only able to do color grading at the highest level. That knowledge and tools are now available for anyone who is willing to learn. DaVinci Resolve is a very powerful tool that is used by many professionals around the world to create stunning beautiful films and videos. With basic understanding of how to use this tool and color grading methodology, there are many possibilities on how you can improve your videos looking professional and stand out from the rest.
The online classes are taught in English by Hendro Setyo Wibowo. There will be a mix of lecture, online and offline exercise and class discussions.
Instructor Bio
Hendro Setyo Wibowo had spent more than a decade working in Post Production. Born in Indonesia he had spent a lot of time in Malaysia. Here he was involved with the production of “ROH,” Malaysian Malay-language indigenous arthouse horror film released in 2019. This film was selected as the Malaysian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards, in 2020.
Hendro established his firm Visual Fidelity in 2014, offering Post-Production services and
particularly his services and credentials as a local KL colourist. Hendro found that he could,
with his experience, post-produce a show on what it needed for the required deliverables for
different platforms in Malaysia. To date he has been involved with various projects. Most
had been Commercials. Others included Documentary, Corporate Videos, Music Videos,
Film, TV Drama, Indie and Short films and most with local Malaysian content. The support of
the local directors, producers, dop had been crucial for his own business and his aim to
improve the quality of Malaysian and Asean Cinema and Videos.
Equipment Needed
Students will need their own computer that meets the minimum requirements to run and install DaVinci Resolve 17, and a reliable high speed internet connection.

DAY 01
Exploring the basic concept in color grading and starting a project with basic exploration of the color grading tools in Resolve 17.
DAY 02
Recap and analyse the previous project, learning secondary color correction, creating looks and delivering for social media output.
